Up to this point the re vamped Pipedream label has concentrated mainly on smaller wave five finned fishes. The introduction of the Mojo is a slight departure from this norm with an accent on higher performance and increased versatility. It is true that with the 5 fin combos on the market today boards have a greater range of wave sizes they can tolerate.

The Mojo is certainly a leading design in this vernacular and is capable of being nursed in double overhead and still lively in waves as small as 3 ft. Sporting the tried and tested Bourton Cathedral Hull the Mojo will paddle well above its weight guaranteeing an early in and will allow one to surf in either extremes without having to suffer an overdose of foam.

Combining a con vee bottom shape and healthy tail lift the wider and flatter nose entry softened with the lifting power of the hull, the Mojo is one of the rare designs that give great paddle and great performance. This model will suit semi experienced surfers right up to the very experienced who may choose the smaller sizes.

The planshape of the Mojo is primarily designed for quad mode, but ridden shorter will perform in thruster mode just as well in the right conditions. Quads like twin fins get more drive with area forward and due to more forward fin clusters do not feel front heavy. It is also no secret that more foam under the chest makes a board paddle better.

The Mojo has a very unique bottom shape designed to facilitate a lower nose entry and wider tail. The Bourton cathedral hull creates a lift in the nose giving one confidence on late drops and encourages more front foot work enabling more drive through turns not to mention the extra paddle it delivers. Following this is a light concave through the guts blending into a prominent longish tail vee. The vee allows more control of a wideish tail particularly at higher speeds.

The rocker in the Mojo can be described as a moderately low nose entry with extra tail curve to compensate. The lifting hull keeps a pointed nose which is low- out of the water thus enabling better paddle without any negatives.

The Mojo ha an Eps core with a 3 mm stringer. It has one layer of 4oz set diagonally on the bottom with 2 x 4oz diagonal on the deck. Additionally it has a 6 oz carbon ribbed wedge set from nose to tail. This pad is placed where there is the most foot work. As mentioned above the new Mojo employs a stringer for added lateral strength. All Mojos have a black rail spray and come as a five fin design with FCS11 boxes.

Hey Muzz
just took a 6'8 mojo to the mentawais. For a 54 years, 93kg guy, the mojo was amazing . I took 3 boards but it was my go to board. The cathedral hull gave me the confidence to paddle deeper and then race across sections at unbelievable speed. It was certainly the board of choice for Nipussy. Thanks Muzz for your recommendations, it was the first time in Indonesia that I didn't regret the board choice i had made.
