INTRO
The thinking with this little number was derived from classic boat design where you have a forgiving hull up front and flatter bottom in the rear where the motor is located. In this case the motor is the deep double concave built into a very subtle vee out the last third of the board. When rail to railing which Twinnies and Twinsers alike, do well. The extra squirt from the deep doubles will for sure allow this model to more than live up to its name. Would not dare to shape this into a thruster design, but as I have always said Twin fin designs are so free they can tolerate harnessing.
PLAN SHAPE
The Squirter sports a normal traditional Twinny plan shape in that if is forward centric and with the use of a single flyer adjacent to the rear of the twin fin position to punctuate a long straighter plan from the centre back to the release point of the flyer. This enables the rider to drive the board through turns using the resistance of the wider nose to increase speed and reach. Nothing new about that in the twin fin world , like I said it is a classic Twinny plan shape masquerading as a Twinser
BOTTOM SHAPE
Now this is where it gets interesting in that the last 20” of the nose bottom shape is very rolled and forgiving like I said mimicking a boat hull that is designed to shock absorb unruly water at speed. Since lower nose entries are imperative for Twinnies to hold momentum we as a rule do not put too much rocker through them. In the instance of this model that sports a very aggressive deep double concave built into a slight vee through the entire last third I have added just a little more tail rocker to keep the peace. In order to ramp up even more squirt I have employed a deep exit channel out the tail so combined with the very deep double concave and the claw of the channel exit the squirt will be next level. Believe me it will live up to its title.
PROFILE AND ROCKER
As explained, there is a little added tail rocker in order to defuse any unwanted over bight caused by the deep doubles. The nose rocker is normal for a Twin fin design. The foil however is designed to be finer through the back half which compensates for the higher pressure lifting of the deep doubles. The profile is thicker forward of centre as is normal with Twinny design to get back some drive lost due to the absence of a rear centre fin. Rails are purposefully kept thicker to add drive as well.
